Beginning

A long time ago my friend Robert and I were challenged by my friend Weston to write a piece of flash fiction for a creative writing open reading that was based on three words: moon, cake, and zombies. It was the most fun I've had with creative writing since I embarked on the foolhardy quest to get the elusive Masters in Creative Writing (something, you might notice is almost oxymoronic in it's title, which should be a warning). Anyway, in the interest of being (in the active since of the word) a writer and trying to enjoy it again, I challenged myself and my fiancĂ©e, who is also a creative writer, to write one piece of flash fiction (using the basic -1k words definition)  a month based on three random words. I found a word generator ( http://creativitygames.net/random-word-generator ) that I can use when Weston is too busy to generate them for me, and hopefully we'll be able to keep up. I have a notion to ask other people to join in, if and when they have the time or the inspiration, but for now it's just us. This month our three words are: shrimps, waterfalls, snow. Hopefully it's a fun experience for both the authors and the readers.
